Rosette Becker, Ph.D. is a multifaceted person.

She was born in Antwerp Belgium, and has shown since early childhood a talent in drawing and painting.

Rosette has a Ph.D in Biophysics. Her successful career in science in the medical field, as well as taking care of her amazing husband and children gave her great satisfaction and left her little time for her art.

Professional opportunities led to her living in Finland, California and Israel. Rosette lives currently in Sharon, Massachusetts since 2005.

There was something missing in Rosette’s life and she knew that she needed to return to her first love, painting.

Some people explore their roots through genealogy or traveling. Rosette took a brush in 2000 and looked into her family history through painting portraits. The media used were watercolor, acrylic and oil. She painted her grandparents, parents, siblings, children, friends and more.

It was very satisfying, but there was a fire burning inside her to be unleashed through abstract painting, a direction she took in 2008.

Rosette’s abstract paintings reflect her hidden memories; explosions, dance, life, birth, death, joy and sadness. Her colors are vivid, the brushstrokes are dancing and the energy is oozing from the paintings.

Rosette through the years, took part in numerous group and solo exhibitions both domestically and abroad.
