Surviving IreneBy the time Irene hit our town, Sharon in Massachusetts, it had become a tropical storm. The trees in Sharon did not know that the hurricane was downgraded and in every street in town one can find fallen trees and tree limbs. That was the scariest part of the storm, winds howling and trees shaking like leaves. I have been in the 7.1 1989 Loma Prieta earthquake in California. Now I also experienced a serious tropical storm. Life experiences!
